Gina + Square

Many event vendors take deposits and final payments through Square. Gina can work with that once we switch the connection on for your account.

Status: On request. Square isn't switched on by default. If you use it, we connect it with you during setup and check it works before you rely on it.

Quick answer

With Square connected, Gina can match a deposit to the right client and flag a balance still open as the event date gets close.

What connecting Square looks like.

  • Deposits matched to the bookingWhen a deposit comes in through Square, Gina can log it against the right client so you're not cross-checking two systems.
  • Outstanding balances flaggedAs an event date gets closer, Gina can flag a client whose final payment hasn't come in yet.
  • One answer for "who still owes"Ask Gina what's outstanding, and it checks Square directly instead of a manual list.

What we can say today.

This describes what the connection is designed to do. We have not yet switched it on for a named business, so ask us on a call before you plan around it.

Common questions about Square.

Does Gina take payments for me?
No. Gina reads what already happened in Square. It does not charge anyone.
Do I need to change how I invoice?
No. Your Square setup stays as it is.
Is this the same as accounting software?
No. For bookkeeping, see the QuickBooks page. Square here is about deposits and balances tied to a booking.
