How to watch Facebook groups for leads with Meta Muse and Gina

Muse already sits inside your Facebook account. Put it on watch in the groups where your buyers ask for recommendations, and have it hand every find to your Gina.

Planner checking a phone while jotting notes at a desk between setups, with a Gina message offering a drafted check-in on a quiet quote.

Quick answer

Connect Gina to Meta Muse as a custom connector (URL: app.talktogina.ai/api/mcp), give Muse the links to the Facebook groups you belong to and the phrases your buyers use, and ask it to check those groups every morning. For each post worth answering, Muse sends your Gina a task with the link and a short summary. Gina drafts a helpful reply in your voice and puts it in your approvals. You post it yourself, from your own account. Nothing posts automatically.

Every conversation keeps its context — pick up any thread days later, right where you left off.

Nothing goes live without your yes.

Every reply, proposal and deposit link waits in one list. Approve it, edit it or leave it. Gina sends only what you approve.

A drafted proposal for the Morgan wedding waits for your yes. You approve it and it shows as sent. A follow-up for the Ellis anniversary party is edited to say Thursday, then approved and sent.

Why Facebook groups, and why Muse

Local and industry Facebook groups are where people ask for recommendations out loud. A homeowner asks who can fix a roof before the rain. A bride asks who does flowers on short notice. A new business owner asks for an accountant who answers email. The first useful answer usually wins, and by the time you scroll past the post, twenty people have already named someone else.

Most of these groups sit behind a login, so a tool outside your account can’t read them. Meta Muse can: it’s Meta’s own assistant, and Facebook connects to it through your Accounts Center. That makes Muse the right watcher. Gina is the right worker: she knows your business, writes in your voice and keeps everything waiting for your approval. The connection between them is Gina’s MCP server.

How the watcher works

It runs the same four steps as our Reddit watcher, with Muse doing the reading:

  1. Watch list. You give Muse the groups to watch, the phrases your buyers use and the posts to skip.
  2. Scheduled check. Muse reads new posts in those groups every morning, or whenever you ask.
  3. Score and hand off. Posts that are a real request get sent to your Gina as a task with the link, the group, a one-line summary and why it fits.
  4. Draft, then your approval. Gina drafts a reply that helps first, in your voice, and puts it in your approvals. You copy it, post it yourself and mark it done.

Step 1: Connect Gina to Muse

In Muse, open Settings → Connectors and add a custom connector named Gina with the URL https://app.talktogina.ai/api/mcp. Sign in with your Gina account, pick your agent and choose Allow. If you don’t see Connectors, ask Muse in a chat to create a custom connector for a remote MCP server with that URL; Meta’s help page describes both routes. Full steps are on Connect Gina to Meta Muse.

When you sign in, allow read:tasks and write:tasks so Muse can send Gina work and read it back. Leave approve:tasks off: approvals stay with you, in Gina.

Step 2: Write the watch list

This is the part that decides whether the watcher is useful or noisy. Write it once, in plain words:

  • Groups: paste the link to each group. Start with three to five where your buyers actually ask questions.
  • Trigger phrases: how people ask, not how you describe yourself. “Anyone recommend”, “looking for a”, “who do you use for”, plus the words for your service.
  • Skip list: vendors advertising, posts older than a day, threads that already have a dozen answers, anything outside your area.
  • Your guardrails: what you do, what you don’t, and the claims you can back up. Gina already keeps this in her memory of your business; tell her once and she uses it on every draft.

Step 3: Give Muse the watcher instructions

Paste this into Muse and fill in the brackets:

Every morning at 8, check new posts from the last 24 hours in these Facebook groups:
[group link 1]
[group link 2]
[group link 3]

Look for people asking for a recommendation or help with [your service], using phrases like "anyone recommend", "looking for", "who do you use for". Skip posts from businesses advertising, posts outside [your area], and threads with more than 10 replies.

For each post that fits, send my Gina a task: "Facebook group lead. Group: [name]. Post: [link]. Summary: [one line]. Why it fits: [one line]. Draft a helpful reply in my voice and put it in my approvals."

Don't post, comment or message anyone yourself. If nothing fits, tell me "No matches today."

Muse can run tasks on a schedule (daily, weekly or on a custom interval) and lists them when you ask “What reminders do I have?”. If your Muse doesn’t run the connector step on its own schedule, send it one message each morning, “Run my group watcher”, and it does the rest.

Step 4: What lands in Gina

Each find becomes a thread in your Gina with the post, the summary and a drafted reply. It reads like this:

Facebook group lead: Riverside Homeowners
Post: "Anyone have a roofer who actually calls back? Need a quote this week."
Angle: answer the question first (what to ask a roofer before a quote), then offer a quote this week.
Why: a direct request in your service area, posted 2 hours ago, 3 replies so far.
Draft: "Ask any roofer for a written scope and a start date before you compare prices. We do free quotes in Riverside and can come out Thursday. Happy to help either way."

The draft waits in your approvals. Edit it, copy it, and post it from your own Facebook account. Gina never posts to Facebook.

Step 5: Get the weekly picture

Once finds are flowing, ask Gina for a routine: “Every Friday, summarise this week’s Facebook group leads: how many, which groups, what people asked for most and which replies I posted.” The brief tells you which groups are worth your time and which to drop, the same way the Reddit watcher's weekly brief does.

Upgrade it: run the rest from Muse

Because Muse is connected to Gina, the watcher is only the start. From the same Muse chat you can ask “What’s waiting on me in Gina?” to see your approvals, “Read me today’s group drafts” to hear them back, or “Run my Friday lead brief now” to fire a routine early. The same connection works from Claude, ChatGPT and any other MCP client.

Where it stops

  • Muse can only read groups your own account can see, and what it can read can change as Meta changes Muse.
  • Meta doesn’t review custom connectors. Check that the sign-in page is on app.talktogina.ai before you sign in.
  • Nothing posts automatically, and that’s on purpose. A reply in a community should come from you.

Common questions

Does anything post to Facebook automatically?
No. Muse reads and reports, Gina drafts, and you post the reply yourself from your own account. Ask Muse not to post or comment in your watcher instructions, and keep it that way.
Which groups can Muse watch?
Groups your own Facebook account can see. Give Muse the link to each group rather than the name; testers report that Muse doesn't always find a group by searching for it.
Do I need a Gina account?
Yes. The watcher sends its finds to your Gina, so you need a Gina agent to connect to. Gina is invite-only right now; book a call and we'll set one up with you.
Can I use Claude or ChatGPT instead of Muse?
You can connect them to Gina the same way, but Muse is the one that already sits inside your Facebook account, which is what makes it the right watcher for Facebook groups.
Is this allowed in the groups I'm in?
Every group sets its own rules, and many ban self-promotion. The watcher only finds posts; Gina drafts replies that help first. Read each group's rules and only answer where an answer from you is welcome.
