How to set up a Reddit watcher that reports to your Gina
The subreddits where your buyers ask for advice, checked on a schedule, with a reply drafted for every post worth answering. Now you can run it from the AI you already use.
Quick answer
Tell Gina which subreddits to watch, the phrases your buyers use and what to skip, and ask her to check them on a schedule. She scores each new post, drafts a reply that helps first for the ones worth answering, and puts the drafts in your approvals. You post the reply yourself. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Meta Muse to Gina (app.talktogina.ai/api/mcp) and you can review the finds, fire the watcher early or ask for the weekly brief from that chat.
Nothing goes live without your yes.
Every reply, proposal and deposit link waits in one list. Approve it, edit it or leave it. Gina sends only what you approve.

Runs on your Claude account How approvals work
A drafted proposal for the Morgan wedding waits for your yes. You approve it and it shows as sent. A follow-up for the Ellis anniversary party is edited to say Thursday, then approved and sent.

Why Reddit
People ask Reddit the questions they don’t ask a salesperson: what a fair price is, what to ask before hiring, who to avoid. A careful, honest answer from someone who does the work builds more trust than an ad. The hard part is finding the right threads in time and writing a reply that helps instead of selling. That’s the part Gina takes on.
How the watcher works
- Watch list. The subreddits, the phrases your buyers use, what to skip, and your guardrails: what you do, what you don’t and what you can back up.
- Scheduled check. Gina reads new posts in those subreddits on a schedule you set, as a routine.
- Score and draft. Each matching post is checked for whether an answer from you adds something. The ones that pass get a reply drafted in your voice.
- Your approval. Drafts wait in your approvals with the post link and a one-line summary. You edit, post it yourself and mark it done. Nothing posts automatically.
Step 1: Give Gina the watch list
Send this to Gina in the console or Slack, with the brackets filled in:
Set up a Reddit watcher. Subreddits: [r/one], [r/two], [r/three], [r/four] Look for posts asking for advice or a recommendation about [your service], using phrases like "anyone recommend", "how much should", "what should I ask". Skip posts from businesses, posts older than a day and threads with more than 15 comments. For each post worth answering, draft a reply that answers the question first, in my voice, and put it in my approvals with the link, a one-line summary and why it fits. Run it every weekday at 7am.
Gina turns that into a routine you can see, pause or change in the console. Your guardrails go into her memory of your business, so every draft follows them.
Step 2: Read what lands
Each find reads like this in your approvals:
Reddit opportunity: r/HomeImprovement Post: "Got three quotes for a new water heater, prices are all over the place. What should I be comparing?" Angle: explain what changes the price (tank vs tankless, venting, permit, haul-away) before anything about you. Why: a direct question in your trade, posted 3 hours ago, 6 comments, none of them answer the price question. Draft: "The big swings usually come from four things: tank vs tankless, whether the venting has to change, the permit, and haul-away of the old unit. Ask each quote to list those separately and the comparison gets easy."
Most good drafts don’t mention your business at all. That’s the point: the profile link does the rest.
Step 3: The weekly brief
Ask Gina for a Friday routine: what people asked in your category this week, the objections that keep coming up, competitor mentions, and which subreddits produced real requests. Drop the quiet subreddits, add the ones that keep showing up in the brief.
Upgrade it: run the watcher from your AI
Gina has a public MCP server at https://app.talktogina.ai/api/mcp. Connect it once to the assistant you already use, and the watcher comes with you:
- “What did the Reddit watcher find today?” Your assistant reads the watcher’s thread in Gina and lists the finds.
- “What’s waiting on me in Gina?” It lists your open approvals, drafts included.
- “Run the Reddit watcher now.” It fires the routine early, before a big thread goes stale.
- “Tell Gina to add r/[new sub] to the watcher.” It sends Gina the task; Gina updates the routine.
Setup takes a few minutes: Claude, ChatGPT, Meta Muse, Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client. Watching Facebook groups too? Those sit behind your login, so Muse does the reading there: set up a Facebook group watcher with Muse.
Where it stops
- Gina reads public subreddits only, and Reddit limits automated access. When a read fails, the thread says so.
- Every subreddit has its own rules on self-promotion. Read them, and answer only where an answer from you is welcome.
- Nothing posts automatically. A reply in a community should come from you.
